The Golden Roof of Innsbruck




Innsbruck is a wonderful city in Tirol. It sits in the middle of the Austrian Alps and is a beautiful place to visit. And, Innsbruck has something unique. It has a world famous landmark, the Golden Roof.

The Golden Roof was built in the 15th century to shelter Emperor Maximillian whilst he sat on his balcony. And, it is called the Golden Roof because of its 2,657 gold plated copper tiles which shine in the sun.

Innsbruck is a beautiful city. Why not visit it yourself.
