British kids love the seaside. There is sand to play on, sea
to swim in, fish and chips to eat, ice cream to lick, and, of
course, donkies to ride on. And donkey rides are a great
British tradition.
Donkey
riding started in England in the Victorian times at the seaside
resort of Weston Super Mare. Now, there are donkies to ride on
on every British beach. And, every donkey has its name on
its harness.
Children
love donkies, and even the Queen went donkey riding when she
was little!
