Robert Streibel whilst thinking about bees in London!

Robert Streibel
A Very Loud Silence!

Robert Streibel is a man of the people. Being the director of the Hietzing Adult Education Centre in Vienna, he not only provides courses for the expansion of thinking and knowledge, but supports arts and culture as well. And, over the years he has helped many on their paths to fulfilment. But, now Robert Streibel is helping in a new direction, too. He is helping the nature we need! And his efforts are creating quite a buzz in his school. And it all goes back to a picnic last year.

Robert Streibel was visiting friends in the country. It was a nice afternoon. And, there they all were in a beautiful garden with their glasses of Champagne, their bowels of strawberries and cream - and a very loud silence that was not meant to be! There was something seriously missing. And then, all became clear. There was no longer the buzzing of bees. And, this in a way was a very sad thing. And Robert Streibel went home with a thought in the back of his mind. And, with time it became clearer and stronger. And Robert Streibel was ready when the moment arrived, and he went into action without any ado!

It was a chance meeting. Robert Streibel was talking to one of his teachers, and she told him that she would like a beehive as a thank-you-present for her many long years of service. And, being a bee keeper, she knew where to get one. Robert Streibel immediately agreed, and not only ordered one beehive for his teacher, but, five for his school. His army was coming!

And now, the gardens around Robert Streibel's school are once again buzzing with action. The bees are back and pollinating, And, flowers and trees are blooming again. But, of course, life isn't that easy! Even Robert Streibel's army of 250,000 little bees can't do the job on its own. Our help is needed as well.

And, the best thing we can do is to stop spraying our gardens with poison. And, one more thing, too. A stinging-nettle corner is a natural must! Nettles attract not only bees, but beautiful butterflies and other useful insects as well. There's a chance of success if we all pull together.

And, luckily, there's a very sweet end to this story. Robert Streibel will soon be sharing out the rewards of his help! Delicious tasting honey! And, if everyone else joins in, too, honey will not become a thing of the past, but a part of our never ending present. So, next time you see a bee, don't only think kindly of him, think of the bee keepers, too, and all that they are doing. After all, the sweetness of honey is the sweetest of all!
